Argireline works by mimicking the N-terminal end of SNAP-25, one of the proteins in the SNARE complex that muscles need to contract. By competing with SNAP-25, Argireline partially inhibits the neurotransmitter release that triggers facial muscle contraction. The effect is subtler than botulinum toxin — targeted at the skin surface rather than blocking nerve signals entirely — but cumulative with consistent use. At 10%, our formulation reaches the concentration shown in studies to produce statistically significant reductions in wrinkle depth.
